East Asian Library Information Literacy Overview

Through the Information Literacy Program, librarians of the East Asian Library help members of the UCLA community master conceptual and practical skills for gathering, evaluating, and ethically using information resources in Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages to enrich their educational, professional, and personal lives and to enable them to become lifelong learners.

The East Asian Library normally holds a general library instruction in the fall quarter of each academic year, and a few hands-on workshops focusing on Chinese, Japanese or Korean electronic resources in the winter quarter.  Faculty may ask area librarians coming to their class for special instruction sessions.  For more information, please send a request to Hong Cheng or contact an instruction coordinator at 310.206.9606.
