Data Management and Curation Services

Classes and Workshops

Library staff have expertise in a variety of areas related to research data management and are available to provide individual and small group consultations.  Faculty, staff, and researchers can also request classes and workshops tailored to their groups' needs. Topics for instruction include but are not limited to:

  • Data Management 101
  • Managing a Lab Notebook
  • Complying with the NIH Public Access Policy
  • Writing Data Management Plans and the DMPTool
  • DataUp (Excel add-in for managing tabular data)
  • Copyright and Licensing Data

Open workshops on data management and related topics are held at noon on the fourth Wednesday of each month in the Biomedical Library Classroom. This "Data Wednesdays" series is free and open to the UCLA community.
