The Wide World of the Command Line

Windows and Mac OS might make command-line interfaces (like DOS) seem old-fashioned, but the command line is the only way to access some modern Digital Humanities tools. Getting the hang of the command line makes a larger set of tools available to you. This session will introduce the basics of the command line on Windows and Mac, from accessing files and running programs to some of the more fun things you can do with it that make it more powerful than a graphical interface.
